I'm Worthy, how 'bout you?
“Worthy helps you save and grow your money — and do it in a way that better aligns with your values and lifestyle.”
And that’s how they got me, and I’m absolutely fine with it.
As someone who is well past their Saturn return, I have taken it upon myself in the past few years to truly step into my adulthood into territories otherwise uncharted (really, there’s a lot that school AND my parents never taught me - more on that another time) and that includes being more aware, more thoughtful, and more proactive about my finances. In the past couple years, I’ve felt really motivated to diversify my assets (it feels good to even say “my assets” and be referring to something other than my physical form, lovely as it may be) and at least begin to set myself up for a more prosperous future than the days past.
On this journey of financial development, I came across this site Worthy that offers bonds. With only years of sad little savings accounts and just recently dipping my toes into stocks, I did have to Googleducate myself. Wikipedia explains a bond “simply defined” as:
“ …a contract between two parties. Companies or governments issue bonds because they need to borrow large amounts of money. They issue bonds and investors buy them (thereby giving the people who issued the bond money). ... This means that at some point, the bond issuer has to pay back the money to the investors.”
Anyway, I’m not here to give you a crash course in financial terminology, I’m definitely not qualified, but before I lose your attention, what I will say is simply this: I like the grassroots feel of a Worthy investment.
You lend them money.
They lend money to American small businesses.
You get your money back with 5% interest.
Sounds good to me! And way less stressful than the stock market. If it sounds good to you, please use my referral link to at least check them out and help me get a kickback? (Unless you’d rather just Venmo me direct ^_^ @Cher-Nicolas ) Also if you invest through referral, you earn a free bond by either opening with 20 bonds or when you reach 20 bonds on your account. (as stated on the site at the time of this posting)
They had me at 5% and small businesses. Whether you’re looking to start investing or needing to start diversifying, thank you in advance, and you’ll thank yourself too ;) Share and comment your thoughts below!

Finally, I know people like visuals, I sure do myself, so I hope it’s ok with them that I borrowed this image from their page to share to their credit (and if it’s not I hope someone lets me know, kindly).
**In the interest of authenticity and therefore full transparency, yes, this is a personal referral plug. As an aspiring digital nomad, I would be remiss to not utilize this platform, which was an investment in itself, to potentially attract more tangible benefits my way. However, I will attest, and will do so each and every time I promote something, that it is a product or service that I at minimum believe in, if not utilize for myself.
