Why Not Whip It Up: Smoothie Bowl 10.18.20 - S'motrawberry (Copy)

Here we go again, is it a smoothie or a bowl if I poured it into a cup but top it with solids and eat it with a spoon?

Smoothie Base
-1/2C frozen strawberries
-1 scoop Vega Sport vanilla protein
-3/4C filtered h2o

Toppings
-1/2 C Sโ€™mores cereal

Now, I think this recipe might have been a little better put together with chocolate protein and frozen bananas, but I didn't have any bananas frozen (I normally buy a bunch and freeze half and eat half but I ate them all ๐Ÿ˜†) or chocolate protein and I really love the texture that frozen strawberries create when blended.

I've been having a s'mores craving lately and this definitely as close as I've come to meeting it but stay tuned and I just might make some s'mores barsโ€ฆ

A m I p e r h a p s the only one who feels perfectly fine about having sweet things, especially for breakfast, as long as I have protein incorporated? Technically speaking, protein helps slow down the digestion of carbs and therefore helps to combat the undesirable sugar crash. This weekโ€™s bowl is a little controversial, perhaps blasphemous for naturalists? This brings me to my next question; if my smoothie bowl is in a cup but I consume it with a spoon, is it still a smoothie bowl? Best not to torture the mind for too long with these ponderings and instead, make yourself a smoothie bowl thing and enjoy it.

Smoothie base
-1/2C frozen strawberries
-1/2 small avocado
-1/2 scoop Four Sigmatic Superfood Protein
-1 scoop Vital Proteins Marine Collagen
-1C filtered h2o

Toppings
-1/2C (or however much you damn please) Natureโ€™s Path Organic Whole Oโ€™s
-turmeric cloud chia
-1 Pirouette

All things considered, without any added sugar this actually isnโ€™t very sweet.

I like to use the Four Sigmatic in my rotation because
I incorporate collagen protein here and there as often as I can becauseโ€ฆ aging by the standards of time and physical space I tried bovine collagen protein for awhile but I found that I had trouble with digestion, always seemed to make me feel like I had a brick in my stomach. My intestines seem to be smiling much easier with marine sourced collagen protein.
